ATLANTA, GA, June 09, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Georgia H. Williams has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Dr. Williams has established a distinguished career, currently serving as a principal business consultant at Affirmity since 2018, where she expertly manages over 40 contractors and subcontractors. Her responsibilities include preparing plans to ensure the company's clients meet federal obligations, conducting project planning workshops, analyzing applicant tracking data, and performing case studies and regression analysis. Her expertise in compliance and teaching has been evident throughout her impactful journey. Her dedication to fostering growth and development extends beyond the corporate world, as evidenced by her role as the Jack Fielkow Scholarship Committee coordinator for Each One Save One from 2013 until 2015.

Dr. Williams joined Affirmity in 2007 as a senior implementation consultant, a position she held until 2018. Previously, she honed her skills at Peopleclick Inc. in New Orleans, where she was an implementation consultant from 1999 to 2007. In this role, she prepared comprehensive, customized affirmative action plans for federal contractors and sub-contractors, organized comprehensive statistical and diversity analyses, and prepared customized policy language that complies with Executive Order 11246 in accordance with federal guidelines. Additionally, she conducted project planning meetings to set parameters for analyses, examined employee data to determine if under-utilization existed among any of the protected classes and evaluated personnel activity to identify any adverse impacts from employer hiring practices. Finally, she coordinated onsite and virtual training workshops.

From 1997 to 1999, Dr. Williams worked at Hibernia National Bank in New Orleans as a services and supplies buyer. Her primary responsibility was to negotiate short- and long-term contracts to ensure the bank received quality goods and services at minimum cost. She also implemented and managed purchasing procedures and bought commodities such as carpeting, furniture, cable, lighting and telephone equipment. One especially notable contribution was establishing stockless contracts to provide just-in-time (JIT) inventory for end users. Her efforts in this endeavor eliminated the need for warehousing and resulted in a substantial reduction in overhead costs.

Dr. Williams began her career in 1992 as a materials manager at Cox Cable Communications in New Orleans and remained with the company until 1994. In this role, she managed purchasing, inventory control, warehousing and fleet operations. She trained, directed, coached and counseled ten direct reports and was responsible for maintaining a $2.8 million inventory system that serviced 232,000 subscribers and 750 employees. She also evaluated material feasibility, which involved identifying obsolete equipment and either arranging for its disposal or negotiating with both local and international vendors to sell it. Dr. Williams designed, purchased and managed a $3.7 million fiber-net upgrade for the company. Additionally, she was instrumental in implementing an automated inventory control tracking system using the CableMaster accounting system and coordinating the conversion processes.

Alongside her professional endeavors, Dr. Williams has meaningfully impacted academia, most recently as an associate professor and lead professor in the business development department at Jarvis Christian College (now Jarvis Christian University) from 2017 to 2020. She further demonstrated her passion for education during her tenure as an adjunct professor at Strayer University in 2013 and as an assistant professor at Miles College from 2011 until 2012. She also contributed to the academic community as an adjunct professor at LeMoyne-Owen College in 2010 and as an adjunct instructor at Delgado Community College between 1996 and 2005.

Throughout her career, Dr. Williams has been involved in numerous professional affiliations, including as a member of Toastmasters International from 2014 to 2021, the Industry Liaison Group since 2009, and the American Association for Access Equity and Diversity since 2008. She also served on the board of directors and as a mentor for Each One Save One from 2012 until 2014, reflecting her commitment to continuous learning and community involvement.

Laying the foundation for Dr. Williams's accomplishments was her extensive educational background, which began with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern University at New Orleans, Louisiana in 1984. She subsequently earned a Master of Science in management from Troy University in 1996, followed by a Doctor of Business Administration in management from Argosy University in 2010. Her credentials are further bolstered by her certification as a Senior Certified Affirmative Action Professional through the American Association for Access Equity and Diversity.

Shaping Dr. Williams's professional aspirations have been her personal experiences, particularly her use of SWOT analysis at a young age to navigate the challenges of single parenthood. This analytical approach has inspired her goal of empowering entrepreneurs by sharing insights on business planning and personal growth strategies. Reflecting on her career, she attributes her success to her determination and spiritual beliefs.

In October 2024, Dr. Williams participated in an international speaking engagement at the Rise to Millions: Purpose, Power, Profits conference, hosted by business strategy coach Lori Granito in Paris, France, where she delivered a subject matter presentation on business plans and SWOT analysis. Looking ahead, she aims to continue building upon her achievements by sharing her knowledge with others. She is committed to using her expertise to guide individuals in achieving meaningful progress in their lives, emphasizing the importance of making a difference not only for herself but also for those she mentors and supports.
