Mr. Jones has dedicated over 45 years to the real estate industry, serving as the broker and owner of Accent Real Estate Services since 1978. His journey began in the 1970s when he was recruited by a sales company in Chicago immediately after completing his education. After a brief period of training, he relocated to Brooklyn to work on the East Coast. However, in 1976, he returned to Texas to take over his mother's business after she suffered an injury. This decision marked the beginning of his long-standing commitment to Accent Real Estate Services.

In addition to his role at Accent Real Estate Services, Mr. Jones has been an influential figure in the Texas real estate community. Since 2011, he has served as vice chairman of the Texas Real Estate Commission, where he has played a pivotal role in shaping policies and regulations that protect citizens from predatory practices. His leadership also extended to his tenure as past chair of the Texas Association of Realtors.

Mr. Jones's expertise in residential and commercial development is widely recognized within the industry. He is an esteemed member of several professional organizations, including the National Association of Realtors, Temple Belton Board of Realtors, Community Associations Institute and National Association of Residential Property Managers. These memberships, among others, have furthered his expertise.

Educationally, Mr. Jones' background includes an associate degree from North Texas State University, which laid the foundation for his successful career in real estate. He also earned a diploma from the Association of Real Estate License Law Officials in 2014. Beyond his formal education, he attributes much of his success to the guidance of his late pastor, who instilled in him the belief that leadership is fundamentally about service—a principle that has kept him grounded throughout his career.

Having decided early in his life not to follow his father's footsteps in law enforcement, Mr. Jones fully committed himself to real estate and to guiding others to achieve as much or more than he has himself. He maintains strong motivation for coming to work in pursuing his goal of helping others. He has also dedicated himself to witnessing in real estate court, lending his expertise to the legal system. His longest lawsuit lasted more than 15 years before a high court ruled in their favor.

Outside of his professional work, Mr. Jones is actively involved with Friends Feeding Friends, demonstrating his commitment to civic engagement and community service. In his personal life, he enjoys sailing and spending time with his grandchildren; he is deeply proud of his family, including his two children.

Mr. Jones' dedication to excellence throughout his career has been recognized with numerous accolades, including five Realtor of the Year awards and two Lifetime Achievement Awards from the Texas Association of Realtors in 2012 and 2015. Looking ahead, he is committed to mentoring Lauren Douglas, a promising young professional he hired at Accent Real Estate Services.
