BETHLEHEM, PA, June 13, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Thomas Paul Stitt Sr., lawyer and chairman of AAA Northampton County, was selected by Marquis Who's Who for a prominent feature in the April/May 2025 Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania regional edition of Forbes magazine.
Leveraging more than 50 years of industry expertise, Mr. Stitt is acclaimed in the legal industry across the state of Pennsylvania. Serving as the owner and head lawyer of his private practice in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, since 2002, he focuses his attention on corporate law and estate law. He has also excelled as chairman of AAA Northampton County since 2003.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Stitt managed a private practice in Easton, Pennsylvania, between 1994 and 2000 and served as a partner of Stitt & Narlesky between 2001 and 2002. Likewise, he was a senior partner at Stitt and Cordts from 1986 to 1994 and at Coffin, DeRaymond, Shipman, Stitt, Lewis & Walters from 1975 to 1986. Commencing his career in 1971, he was an associate with Coffin and DeRaymond until 1973.
Prior to starting his career, Mr. Stitt served in the U.S. Army as an intelligence officer between 1969 and 1971, ultimately achieving the rank of first lieutenant. Thereafter, he was assigned to the Continental Army Command Intelligence Center and the JAG as a defense counsel. During this time, he won 25 out of 26 court martial trials. In addition, Mr. Stitt was appointed the legal officer for the Intelligence Center and, subsequently, the acting adjutant, maintaining responsibility for all administration of the Intelligence Center.
In accounting for his success, Mr. Stitt credits his consistency, sense of preparedness, diligent work ethic, dedication to helping others and passion for his work. Civically engaged as well, he has worked extensively with the American Red Cross; for his accomplishments with the organization, he was honored with the U.S. flag flown over the U.S. Capitol in Washington, DC. Outside of his primary responsibilities, Mr. Stitt is an avid golfer, having won over 35 golf championships in six decades on courses from California to Pennsylvania. In light of his esteemed golf skills, he was featured in an issue of Sports Illustrated in its "Faces in the Crowd" article, as well as inducted into the Lehigh Valley Golf Hall of Fame. He settled the largest estate within 60 miles of Lehigh Valley, beginning in 1997.
EDUCATION HIGHLIGHTS
To prepare for his career, Mr. Stitt matriculated at Duke University, from which he received a Bachelor of Arts in 1965. He later attended Southern Methodist University and earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1968. The same year, he received the Silver Key Award from the American Bar Association. Licensed to practice law by the State Bar of Texas and the Pennsylvania Bar Association, he is also admitted before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the Supreme Court of the United States.
