FORT WORTH, TX, June 13, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Gia Santos has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Santos is a distinguished professional in journalism and currently serves as the chief editor of MOC Maghreb & Orient Courier. Since 2020, she has overseen the gathering of stories and content, sourcing from social media and submissions from reporters and experts worldwide. Her commitment to independent journalism reflects her belief in the power of free speech, emphasizing the importance of giving a platform to voices often silenced by mainstream media.
Ms. Santos' career has been defined by her dedication to delivering unfiltered stories from the ground, especially from conflict zones like Ukraine, where she spent eight months from 2022 to 2023 and another eight months in 2024. Reporting under near-constant danger of explosions, she sustained a neck injury, though she has fully recovered. Ms. Santos' firsthand experiences reinforce her conviction that these stories, whether from Ukraine, Venezuela, Gaza, Israel or Russia, deserve to be heard, even when they are shared anonymously for security or openly by those risking their lives to speak out.
Prior to her current position, Ms. Santos has held several influential roles. Since 2017, she has been the social media director of Sons of Liberty International in the USA and Ukraine. Her creative endeavors include founding Music4Freedom Productions in San Diego, California, in 2011, where she was also the creative lead until 2023. Moreover, Ms. Santos coordinated online fundraising efforts for One World Medical Mission from 2017 to 2023.
Ms. Santos' journey has centered on impactful contributions to social causes. From 2017 to 2020, she worked in social media communications and victim advocacy for Abolish Slavery! across the United States and Mexico. She was also involved in social media marketing for MEA TV & Radio in the Greater San Diego Area from 2018 to 2020. Ms. Santos' earlier roles include serving as the San Diego coordinator for The Peace Alliance and advised Virginia Isaias, the founder of the human trafficking survivors foundation.
In addition to her professional roles, Ms. Santos is deeply committed to civic-minded initiatives. She was a coordinator for The Peace Alliance from 2014 to 2019 and has an ongoing association with Sons of Liberty International. Her dedication to advocacy is further demonstrated through her work as a music campaign coordinator for The Pixel Project and Music for Pixels and her co-ownership of online music fundraising initiatives supporting various causes through Artists4 Freedom.
Ms. Santos holds a certificate in modern journalism from Yellowbrick at New York University. Her contributions span creative publications and social initiatives, including her involvement in the "Music for Pixels" project and the feature of her piece on immigration reform in "Latinas: Gender, Race and Class." Ms. Santos' efforts have earned her awards in victim advocacy, which she turned down, highlighting her enduring commitment to impactful journalism and civic engagement.
Beyond her career, Ms. Santos enjoys reading, writing, singing, dancing, cooking, traveling, photography, attending live music events and engaging with various marketing and entrepreneur groups. Looking ahead, she envisions transforming the Maghreb & Orient Courier into a media powerhouse akin to the Wall Street Journal. Ms. Santos is actively seeking sponsorships to support both the media and nonprofit aspects of the organization, aiming for expansion and increased influence in the industry.
