Before his foray into financial services, Mr. Ruff co-owned T&R Marinein Harrison, AR, holding tenure there for more than 11 years. He also has experience running a restaurant, having opened his own restaurant and managed operations for four years. After he sold his restaurant, he found his calling in personal and business financial and estate planning.

Mr. Ruff's academic background laid the foundation for his successful career. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management with a focus on marketing and minors in advertising and sociology from the University of Arkansas in 1970. Furthering his education, he completed a master's program in estate planning at the Institute of Certified Estate Planners at age 66. His certifications from The American College of Financial Services in Bryn Mawn, PA, include the Chartered Life Underwriter, CLU©, and Chartered Financial Consultant, and ChFC© designations, which place him in the top ½% of financial advisors throughout the United States and Canadia. He is also a Registered Financial Consultant.

In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Ruff is actively involved in several industry-related organizations. His memberships include the Society of Financial Services Professionals, an Authorized Professional in Infinite Banking, an associate member of the Wealth & Wisdom Institute, the Institute of Certified Estate Planners and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a coach, mentor and speaker for the John Maxwell Team for personal growth.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Ruff is deeply committed to Christian charity, having founded Home Outreach Ministries and Evangelism, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping others. He is a member of Woodland Heights Baptist Church in Harrison. His soulmate for 55 years, Peggy Jean Thomason Ruff, passed away in 2019 leaving behind Mr. Ruff with a four-year-old son (great-grandson), whom they had adopted after their granddaughter passed away in 2014. In 2020, Mr. Ruff married another amazing lady from Medellín, Colombia. She was a foreign language teacher. After four years and several trips to Cancun, Mexico, she finally arrived home in Harrison, AR, on March, 29, 2023. He says that he is a very blessed man.

He enjoys spending time with family watching his son in jiu-jitsu, soccer and baseball. Mr. Ruff loves watching college football and basketball. A man of faith and perseverance, he attributes all his success to these qualities. Looking ahead professionally, Mr. Ruff remains passionate about his work and continues to embrace opportunities to help others as a problem-solver in the field of retirement and estate planning.
