Dr. Ng's journey at Northwell Health began in 2009 when he joined as a critical care physician and critical care intensivist physician at John T. Mather Memorial Hospital. His dedication to patient care and innovation led him to become the site chief medical information officer from 2010 to 2022, where he played a pivotal role in transitioning the hospital from paper-based systems to electronic records. This transformation was instrumental in achieving multiple CMS five-star ratings as well as Leapfrog "A" grades for the hospital.

In addition to his clinical roles, Dr. Ng has contributed significantly to medical education as the founder and program director for the transitional year residency from 2014 to 2022, fostering the next generation of medical professionals. He is also an assistant professor at the Donald & Barbara Zucker School of Medicine since 2018 and was a clinical instructor at Stony Brook Medicine from 2014 to 2018.

Dr. Ng's academic achievements have been foundational to his success. He earned a Master of Business Administration with distinction from Hofstra University in 2024, which has enhanced his leadership capabilities in managing hospital operations and expansion of its outpatient services. His medical training includes a fellowship in surgical critical care at Mount Sinai Medical Center in 2009, a residency at Richmond University Medical Center in 2007, and a Doctor of Medicine from Ponce Health Sciences University in 2003. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in biology and psychology with a minor in English from Stony Brook University, completed in 1998.

Certified by the American Board of Preventive Medicine in clinical informatics since 2021, Dr. Ng also holds certifications in critical care medicine and internal medicine from the ABIM Foundation, obtained in 2009 and 2007 respectively. He serves as vice president of the board for Sights on Health since 2013, where he conducts annual medical/surgical missions to underserved regions such as Peru, Ecuador, and South Dakota, providing sight-restoring surgeries and urgent care services to those in need.

In his personal life, Dr. Ng enjoys traveling, cooking, karaoke, jazz music, playing bass guitar, and spending time with friends. Looking ahead, he aspires to one day lead a hospital that requires rehabilitation, continuing his legacy of transformative leadership and compassionate care.
