HOLLYWOOD, FL, June 16, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kareem David Piper, EdD, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Dr. Piper is a distinguished research specialist at Broward County Public Schools, where he has been leading a team of researchers since 2023. His role involves conducting comprehensive needs assessments, analyzing student assessment data and building predictive models to forecast educational outcomes. His work is instrumental in preparing and reviewing mandatory data for state and federal reporting, validating student membership counts and collaborating with external partners to develop comprehensive evaluations. His expertise in data science, research, business analysis and machine learning has been pivotal in his contributions to the educational sector.

Prior to his current position, Dr. Piper served as a supervisor in the Office of Assessment, Research and Data Analysis for Miami-Dade County Public Schools from 2021 to 2023, during which time he honed his skills as a quantitative researcher in one of the nation's largest school districts. He previously served as a data coach and learning management system manager at Miami-Dade County Public Schools in 2021, and from 2016 until 2021, he was an art teacher and museum educator within the same district, where his passion for visual arts and education intersected.

Alongside his contributions at Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Dr. Piper taught art as an adjunct professor at both Miami Dade College and Rasmussen University between 2018 and 2022. His career in academia also includes serving as the assistant director of admissions, an academic advisor and an adjust faculty member at Brown Mackie College from 2010 to 2018. He began working in higher education as a data entry specialist at the University of Miami from 2009 until 2010, following his tenure as a recruiter, fiscal chief, supply administrative clerk and section training chief for the U.S. Marine Corps between 2007 and 2009.

Laying the foundation for Dr. Piper's professional accomplishments was his academic background. After obtaining a Bachelor of Applied Science in criminal justice and law from Park University in 2014, he went on to acquire a Master of Fine Arts in visual arts and fine art from Miami International University of Art & Design in 2016. He subsequently earned an Education Specialist degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of West Florida in 2018, followed by a Doctor of Education in curriculum and instruction as well as curriculum and assessment from the same institution in 2021. His commitment to continuous learning is evident as he pursues a master's degree in data science at the University of West Florida, having already completed a graduate certificate in advanced data science there in 2025.

In addition to his formal education, Dr. Piper has obtained numerous certifications that enhance his professional capabilities. These include Git and GitHub Essentials from Coursera in 2024; Introduction to HTML, CSS & JavaScript from IBM in 2024; and several others related to software development and data science from LinkedIn and Microsoft. His dedication to self-improvement is further demonstrated by his teacher certification for the state of Florida in art.

Demonstrating Dr. Piper's commitment to community service and leadership is his civic involvement. As a Freemason since 2017, he serves as the virtual master of the oldest Masonic lodge in South Florida. He actively supports the Chapman Partnership by donating Christmas gifts and sponsoring dinners, and he participates in Dad's Challenge, showcasing his dedication to family-oriented initiatives.

Reflecting on his career, Dr. Piper attributes much of his success to his upbringing in a family of educators who instilled a love for learning from an early age. This background has fueled his insatiable curiosity and desire to understand complex systems, driving him toward excellence in both his professional endeavors and personal growth.

Looking ahead, Dr. Piper aims to integrate artificial intelligence into K-12 education systems to empower students with foundational skills for future careers in machine learning and data analytics. He also plans to return to teaching as an adjunct professor of artificial intelligence at Palm Beach State College.
