She is particularly skilled in trauma recovery within a couple or individual, helping couples navigate recovery from affairs and past hurts. Her work often involves couples where one partner has ADHD, substance or behavioral addictions and examines its impact on the relationship.

Dr. Levy-Merlin earned her PhD in clinical sexology with a concentration in behavioral and substance addictions from the International Institute of Clinical Sexology in 2022. Prior to this, she completed her master's degree in social work at New York University in 1996 and obtained a bachelor's degree in human resources, family and community services from the University of Delaware in 1992. In addition to her educational background, she holds certifications as a certified sex therapist from the International Institute of Clinical Sexology and as a certified ADHD therapist.

Outside of her client-facing work, Dr. Levy-Merlin is an active member of several professional organizations, including the National Association of Social Workers and AASECT. She is civically engaged with organizations such as MD1 and local soup kitchens, demonstrating her commitment to community service, and her personal life is enriched by activities such as reading and running.

Looking ahead, Dr. Levy-Merlin aims to continue growing her practice while enhancing her skills so she may better assist individuals facing challenging situations.
