Leveraging his former accomplishments, Mr. Esquerdo was a tax manager at BDO USA LLP in Miami from 2018 to 2019. During this time, he honed his skills in managing complex tax issues for diverse clients. His earlier tenure as a tax manager at PwC in Puerto Rico between 2014 and 2017 allowed him to specialize in federal and Puerto Rico taxation, including tax holidays and corporate taxation for pharmaceutical and manufacturing companies and exporting services. Mr. Esquerdo initially worked for PWC from 2006 to 2008 as a tax senior, providing him with valuable insights into the intricacies of expatriates taxation.

Mr. Esquerdo's career also included roles with KPMG in Puerto Rico, where he started his career as an intern and gained foundational experience in corporate taxation that would shape his future endeavors. Subsequently, he joined other local firms where he gained broad experience with corporate taxation, high-net worth individuals, tax holidays, and expatriate taxation.

Mr. Esquerdo's academic background includes an undergraduate degree in accounting from Sacred Heart University in Puerto Rico in 2002 and a Master of Science in finance from the University of Miami in 2023. His education laid the groundwork for his success, complemented by credentials as a certified public accountant through the Florida Board of Accountancy and the Department of State in Puerto Rico.

A member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Mr. Esquerdo is recognized for his expertise and contributions to the field. While in college, he served as the president of the Accounting Students Association at Sacred Heart University. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mr. Esquerdo has been actively involved in civic and educational initiatives, including as an instructor for various seminars with the Puerto Rico CPA Society.

Mr. Esquerdo's achievements include being honored with the Pórtico Medal for Leadership and Personal Development by Sacred Heart University and being named among Forbes' Best CPAs in Florida in April 2025.
