Mr. Zhu, an accomplished professional in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serves as the senior director of data analytics and insights at Takeda Pharmaceuticals. With a career spanning nearly two decades, he has honed his expertise in commercial analytics and insights, leveraging both information and talent to drive success. His day-to-day responsibilities include customer interactions, managing expectations, allocating resources and motivating his team to ensure alignment across various projects. Mr. Zhu's work is deeply rooted in project management, expectation management, and team building.

Having begun his career at Life Asset Management, Mr. Zhu was a senior financial analyst and portfolio manager from 2006 to 2008. He then transitioned to Baxter International Inc., where he held several roles. Starting as an associate marketing manager in 2008, he quickly advanced to marketing manager by 2009, senior marketing manager by 2011, group marketing manager for the U.S. by 2013, and finally global group marketing manager by 2014. While at Baxter International Inc., Mr. Zhu played a pivotal role in commercializing key assets. He also led initiatives in product launch, marketing analytics, health care outcome research and incentive compensation.

In 2016, Mr. Zhu joined Shire as the head of business planning and operations for the Asia Pacific region. There, he led the implementation of global marketing strategies and established commercialization models for public-private partnerships aimed at business expansion. Mr. Zhu's experience allowed him to engage with different health care systems and interact firsthand with customers and patient groups.

More recently, Mr. Zhu served as director of market insights and operations at the nonprofit Versiti Inc., where he optimized blood donations and critical transplant related blood tests from 2017 to 2021 and developed a deep desire to help patients. This role further solidified his commitment to seeing patients as human beings rather than just numbers or cases.

In preparation for his future, Mr. Zhu achieved a Bachelor of Science in biotechnology from Peking University, a Master of Science in food sciences and technology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and a Master of Business Administration in marketing and finance from the University of Southern California. His educational journey reflects his belief in staying curious and hungry for knowledge. This philosophy has driven Mr. Zhu's success.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Zhu is actively involved in civic organizations such as Be The Match, Ronald McDonald House Charities, United Way, and the Singapore Heart Foundation. He has also contributed to fundraising efforts for veterans and indigent schools while teaching career path skills to young students.
