Dr. Daia's professional journey began after completing his residency in orthodontics and dento-facial orthopedics at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, in 2014. He also holds a Master of Science in temporomandibular joint disorder and orofacial pain from the same institution, earned in 2010. His academic foundation was laid with a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Damascus University, earned in Syria in 2005. These educational achievements have been instrumental in his ability to provide specialized care for complex conditions.

Beginning his career, Dr. Daia first practiced at DentalOne Partners Inc. in 2015, where he honed his skills as an orthodontist before moving on to Midwestern Dental Associates and Bright Side Dental. In 2016, he joined the practice originally founded by Dr. William E. Molloy in 1975, rebranding it as Daia Orthodontics & TMJ Orthopedics. Under his leadership, the practice has expanded its services beyond traditional orthodontics, including treatment for temporomandibular joint disorders, orofacial pain, headaches and conditions like burning mouth syndrome.

Furthering his expertise, Dr. Daia is a fellow in orthodontics with the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and holds diplomate status with the American Board of Orofacial Pain and the American Board of Orthodontics. Additionally, he completed coursework in lasers in dentistry at the University at Buffalo. His commitment to service is reflected in his artistic sensibility and dedication to developing practical and discreet appliances that accommodate patients' needs without interfering with their careers.

He is also proud that his book, "Low Level Laser Therapy for Management of Temporomandibular Disorders," is used as a reference by dental schools worldwide. His expertise and contributions to the field have been recognized with awards from Invisalign and the Association of Laser Medicine. Dr. Daia is giving a lecture to the Canadian Association of Orthodontists on June 18th titled: "TMJ Patients! How to manage TMD onsets, before, during, and after orthodontic treatment."

In his personal life, Dr. Daia is a devoted father to six daughters and one son.
