Mr. Jacobson is the vice president of development at S.R. Jacobson Development Corporation, which specializes in multi-family home building and expansion. In this capacity, he oversees the development of all projects, manages on-site construction by acting as an intermediary between the general contractor and property management, and sourcing and evaluating new land acquisition opportunities across Illinois and the Midwest, with strategic plans to expand the company's presence into new markets. Prior to working in his current position, he served as an owner's representative for the corporation. He was also part of SRJ's development team for Montgomery Place Apartments (468 units) and Village Place Apartments in Romeoville (216 units), both in partnership with Edward Rose & Sons.

Mr. Jacobson's involvement with the company began in earnest in 2015 on a part-time basis. He was tasked with selling the remaining balance of distressed single-family lots the company had purchased with a hedge fund in 2011.

He then began full-time work in 2019. He was responsible for helping oversee the start of the Orland Ridge project, a 294-unit single-family rental community featuring three-story townhomes and ranch villas. This project marked a significant milestone in his career and Mr. Jacobson continues to play an active role in the project's ongoing operations, coordinating with the property management team and visiting the site regularly, following the project's stabilization. In 2019, he also led the marketing, sales and negotiation efforts for the above-mentioned distressed single-family lots, which was comprised of 3,000 bank-foreclosed lots across 28 subdivisions. The portfolio included everything from paper lots to finished home sites, and he successfully oversaw the disposition of more than 600 remaining lots to regional and national homebuilders.

Mr. Jacobson's professional journey is marked by a commitment to growth and innovation within the real estate sector. He has actively invested in real estate for over a decade, with notable investments that include retail centers in Kansas City, and Traverse City, Michigan, and a student housing development at Iowa State University. He is also invested in five SRJ multi-family deals. His strategic vision has been pivotal in driving the company's expansion into suburban areas around Chicagoland and holds a particular focus on suburban development.

Academically, Mr. Jacobson pursued an undergraduate degree in arts, entertainment and media management at Columbia College and a master of science degree in the real estate program at DePaul University. His academic pursuits continue to equip him with the skills necessary to navigate the complexities of real estate development.

Mr. Jacobson attributes much of his success to his upbringing and the influence of his father, who founded S.R. Jacobson Development Corporation. Additionally, his ability to envision potential developments from everyday experiences, such as driving vacant land sites, has been a driving force behind his creative process. He emphasizes the importance of collaboration with his skilled team, whose expertise spans engineering, law and the ability to get creative to find quality deals.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Mr. Jacobson has been involved in civic organizations. He volunteers and sponsors activities with the Greater Chicago Food Depository, which strives to end hunger by providing healthy foods and seeks advanced solutions for individuals and communities in need. Outside of his career, Mr. Jacobson enjoys spending time with his family and is a proud father of one child.
