His experience as a GIS engineer at Global Water Fathom, LL, from 2015 to 2017 gave him a strong foundation in water utility management systems. Additionally, his work as a cultural resources specialist and GIS specialist at Environmental Planning Group, LLC, from 2014 to 2015 allowed him to merge his interests in archaeology and technology.

Mr. Ferguson's academic journey began with a Bachelor of Arts in anthropology from Arizona State University in 2010. This degree laid the groundwork for his initial career in archaeology, where he worked on various projects for five years. The economic recession prompted him to seek stability, leading him to discover GIS during a data recovery archaeology project. This discovery inspired him to pursue a Master of Advanced Study in geographic information systems from Arizona State University, which he completed in 2014.
