A journey in the industry characterized by a series of leadership roles that have shaped her into a formidable figure in the business world, Ms. Macia previously co-founded Joyn Insurance, where she served as the chief executive officer from 2020 to 2025. Before Joyn Insurance, Ms. Macia held dual roles as the chief executive officer at Blackboard Insurance and executive vice president at AIG between 2017 and 2020.

Between 2016 and 2017, Ms. Macia served as the chief executive officer of Hamilton Insurance, which was ultimately acquired by AIG. Prior to that Ms. Macia spent time at AIG, initially as the president and chief executive officer for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) from 2013 to 2015 and then as the chief executive officer of Regional Management and Operations in 2016. Earlier, Ms. Macia held various other noteworthy roles, such as chief executive at XL Insurance North America P&C from 2010 to 2013. Her strategic vision was also honed during her time with Zurich Financial Services, where she excelled as the head of investor relations and rating agencies, beginning in 2002, and then as the CFO of Zurich's Specialties business in 2006 and ultimately leading the business as president between 2007 and 2010. Her foundational years were spent with Swiss Re from 1990 to 2000.

A graduate of Monash University, Ms. Macia earned a Master of Business Administration in 1999. She has also been recognized as a chartered financial analyst at the CFA Institute since 2001.

In addition to her executive roles, Ms. Macia has served on several boards, including Credit Suisse Group and BanQu Inc. Her involvement with industry organizations, such as the CFA Institute, underscores her commitment to professional development and networking within the field. Beyond her professional achievements, Ms. Macia is deeply committed to civic engagement. She has been actively involved with the Food Bank for New York City, serving as its chair since 2019 after being a board member from 2013 to 2019.
