His Associate of Science from Delaware County Community College provided foundational knowledge that complemented his later studies at The Pennsylvania State University. The skills acquired through his education were instrumental in his ability to meticulously research and document local histories, earning him accolades from the Historical Society of Pennsylvania.

In addition to his written works, Mr. Lockhart contributed weekly history articles to Town Talk Newspaper, where he was celebrated as their number one columnist multiple times. His dedication to preserving local history extended beyond print; he launched delawarecountyhistory.com, a website that filled a significant gap by providing comprehensive historical resources for Delaware County.

In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Lockhart has been actively involved in civic organizations. He served as a youth director at his church for 15 years, demonstrating his commitment to community engagement and mentorship. His efforts have been recognized with awards from the Historical Society of Pennsylvania between 2008 and 2009.

In his personal life, Mr. Lockhart remains deeply rooted in his hometown of Ridley Park. He enjoys researching history and is currently focused on organizing an extensive collection of 1,500 booklets and pamphlets, along with numerous notes related to the history of Delaware County.
