DESOTO, TX, June 23, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kedric L. McKnight, MAPD, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. McKnight has established a distinguished career marked by leadership and dedication to community service. His leadership is widespread and ranges from serving as the Founder and Senior Pastor of the New Life Bible Fellowship Church, and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Children and Family Institute, both located in Dallas, Texas. As the COO, his responsibilities include meeting with department heads, and overseeing all aspects of program management, finance, human resources, technology, and strategic planning. He collaborates closely with the Chief Executive Officer to implement strategic plans and develop consistent metrics to track performance indicators. His efforts aim to improve target areas and ensure that initiatives align with strategic goals.

Prior to his current role, Mr. McKnight served as a member of the enterprise investigations team at Wells Fargo from 2019 to 2020 and the regional human resource investigation team for Amazon corporate from 2020 to 2023. Mr. McKnight was the former COO at St. Philip's School & Community Center in Dallas, where his tenure was marked by his commitment to operational excellence and community engagement. Before this career advancement, he held the position of Operations Director at Uplift Education in Dallas-Ft. Worth, where he honed his skills in organizational leadership.

The greater part of Mr. McKnight's career began in 1996, when he initiated his career in federal law enforcement. He served in various federal service capacities, including the Social Security Administration, United States Customs Service, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Office of Inspector General for Investigations, where he served as the Assistant Special Agent in Charge. He also served as part of the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force. In 2013, Mr. McKnight concluded a 21-year tenure with early retirement from the federal government.

In addition to his professional roles, Mr. McKnight is an accomplished author, having published "One Season to the Next" in 2018. His expertise in organizational leadership is further evidenced by his membership in several industry-related organizations, including Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., the Chamber of Commerce, and the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE). He also serves on advisory boards for Everest College and is involved with North Lake College Real Estate Council.

Mr. McKnight's academic achievements have played a crucial role in his success. He holds a Master of Arts in professional development with a concentration in organizational leadership and conflict resolution from Dallas Baptist University, which he earned in 2012. During his undergraduate studies at Texas Southern University, Mr. McKnight was in the Frederick Douglas Honors Institute, where he graduated cum laude and obtained his Bachelor of Science in public affairs and criminal justice and minored in psychology in 1996. His certifications include being an emergency medical technician, an expert in firearms and weaponry, a certified fraud examiner, and a mediator in dispute resolution.

Mr. McKnight's dedication extends beyond his professional life into civic involvement. He has served as the Dallas Baptist Association's church planting committee chairperson, and chaplain for the Gamma Upsilon Lambda graduate chapter for Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He has been recognized for his contributions with awards such as the Excellence in Religious Achievement Award from Texas Southern University, various Investigative Agent Awards, and a White House Letter of Commendation from former President Barack Obama in 2010 for his community service and leadership in the west Dallas community.

Mr. McKnight attributes his success to his faith in God, support from his wife, Melissa D. McKnight, family, close friends, and self-motivation, preparedness and perseverance. In his personal time, he enjoys playing golf, reading leadership books and mystery novels, listening to jazz and R&B music, and writing. Looking ahead, Mr. McKnight aims to lead his agency, complete his doctoral degree, increase ministry visibility through community development and building expansion, and continue his literary pursuits by publishing another book.
