Dr. Dimarogonas earned a doctorate in systems science and applied mathematics from Washington University in St. Louis in 2001, following a Master of Science in the same field in 1997 and a Master of Science in mechanical engineering in 1994. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the same institution, completed in 1990. Additionally, he pursued coursework in mechanical engineering at the University of Patras in Greece.

Dr. Dimarogonas' commitment to continuous learning is evident through his numerous certifications, including Certified Information Systems Security Professional from ISC2 and Project Management Professional from PMI.
