Mr. Cook is a distinguished executive chef and culinary consultant with Kalon Events & Food Design, where he has been instrumental in shaping the business landscape since 2023. With nearly two decades of experience in the culinary arts, he has honed his expertise in classical French and Asian cuisines, earning him recognition and respect throughout the field. A major part of his role is changing the standard perception of catering; he utilizes modern techniques such as molecular gastronomy, builds systems and standards, and has perfected event operating logistics. He also oversees ordering, scheduling and orchestrating special events such as galas and weddings. His chef de cuisine, Erik Mar, is an integral part of Kalon's culinary operations and functionality. Mr. Cook's career highlights include catering Serena Williams' wedding and serving as the chef for the Elton John AIDS Foundation event at the New York Gala.

In addition to his work at Kalon Events & Food Design, Mr. Cook helms Tasteful Imagination, a culinary consultancy through which he has created unique culinary experiences and innovative food products that attract and engage clients. His areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, consulting on new restaurant start-ups and operations, menu planning, emerging food trends, food safety, and providing opening operating standards.

Mr. Cook's culinary skills were also evident as executive chef of special events at The Metropolitan Museum of Art and Creative Edge Parties from 2022 to 2023 and as an event chef at Cloud Catering and Events from 2014 to 2016, during which he honed his skills in managing large-scale events. Prior to that, he served as a sous chef at Sheraton Hotel Brazil, where he gained valuable international experience and developed new food preparation techniques. His early career involved working as a banquet sous chef and lead line cook at Prestonwood Country Club from 2006 to 2010, followed by his role as a lead line cook at Second Empire from 2011 to 2013.

Academically, Mr. Cook earned a Bachelor of Science in culinary technology with concentrations in hotel and restaurant management, pastry arts and culinary arts from Wake Technical Community College, graduating in 2007. His educational endeavors provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the culinary industry and have been pivotal in establishing his personal creations. He attributes much of his success to his mentor Tyler Lyne, the culinary director of Kalon Events & Food Design, whose guidance significantly influenced Mr. Cook's career trajectory.

In addition to his work as an executive chef, Mr. Cook is focused on expanding Kalon Events & Food Design's brand presence in New York. He aims to double the company's profits in 2025 by acquiring new clients and creating innovative food products and experiences that captivate audiences. His vision includes reaching $20 million in revenue over the next five years, reflecting his ambition and strategic foresight.

Outside of his vocational journey, Mr. Cook is looking forward to an exciting milestone as he prepares for his wedding to Samantha Vastine. Balancing his personal life with his professional aspirations, he remains committed to driving growth and innovation within the food industry while building a fulfilling life outside of work.
