The latter is now fielded and in operation on all U.S. and U.K. aircraft carriers for precision approach and automatic landing of fixed-wing manned and unmanned aircraft and vertical systems for takeoff and landing. Before this period, he served as a senior principal systems engineer at Raytheon Company from 2005 to 2009, where he was responsible for leading complex projects and ensuring their successful execution.

His earlier career includes a notable stint as a senior operations architect at America Online, Inc. from 1996 to 2005. There, Dr. Wu honed his skills in systems architecture, networking and operations management and led to a large reduction in the company's annual network operation cost.

Dr. Wu's academic background is equally impressive. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy in physics from the California Institute of Technology in 1992, following a Master of Science in physics from the University of Wisconsin and a Bachelor of Science in physics at age of nineteen from Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China.

Throughout his career, Dr. Wu has been recognized for his contributions to his field with numerous accolades, including the prestigious Industry Advancement Award and two group awards from National Defense Industrial Association. He holds an impressive portfolio of 31 patents, underscoring his commitment to innovation and excellence.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Dr. Wu is an active member of The Institute of Navigation, where he collaborates with peers to further advance navigation technologies.
