ROGERSVILLE, MO, June 25, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kari L. Done, MA, AUD/SLP, CCC-SLP, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Done has dedicated over 35 years to the field of speech pathology and audiology, establishing herself as an expert in addressing auditory processing disorders and dyslexia in children. As the owner and director of Enrichment Alternatives in Springfield, Missouri, since 2004, she has been instrumental in creating programs that cater to the unique needs of children with special needs and helping parents be informed and involved in their child's growth and education.

Ms. Done's commitment to early intervention in her work is evident through her successful implementation of auditory and music programs after receiving multiple grants, which have shown remarkable progress in children's development. She is also very proud of several other achievements, including a study where six out of 10 children were assessed for giftedness after participating in her programs.

In addition to her role at Enrichment Alternatives, Ms. Done has served as a speech-language pathologist at the Development Center of the Ozarks since 2004. Her dual roles highlight her dedication to providing comprehensive support to children and their families. Prior to these positions, she was the owner and president of NuPerspectives from 1999 to 2004, where she honed her skills in consulting on auditory processing and supporting international businesses.

Ms. Done's career began with a focus on helping others, inspired by her desire to teach English to international students and assist them with reading. This passion led her to pursue a bachelor's degree in audiology and speech language pathology from San José State University, graduating in 1988. She continued her education at the same institution, earning a Master of Arts in audiology and speech language pathology. Her academic background laid the foundation for her success, equipping her with the knowledge and skills necessary to address complex communication disorders.

Throughout her career, Ms. Done has been actively involved in various professional organizations, including the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the International Dyslexia Association. Her commitment extends beyond professional circles, with the founding of Families Homeschooling Children with Special Needs, an inactive nonprofit organization that supported parents navigating educational challenges. Her further civic activities include supporting various nonprofit agencies in the Springfield area and participating in the Pediatric Round Table for Small Business Owners.

Looking ahead, Ms. Done envisions creating a cooperative model where therapists and health care professionals can share ownership and contribute insights on service delivery. This initiative aims to empower professionals by recognizing their hard work and allowing them to shape how services are provided to best meet community needs. Her vision underscores a commitment to innovation and collaboration within the health care sector, ensuring that services evolve to better serve those who rely on them.
