Before establishing his consulting firm, Dr. Spanninger served as the executive vice president at Americhem International from 2002 to 2007, where he played a pivotal role in expanding the company's global reach. Between 1997 and 2002, he was the vice president for Asia Pacific at TRW. In this capacity, Dr. Spanninger was responsible for overseeing over 25 companies and managing their leaders in Hong Kong. His most notable achievement during this period was creating new companies for Goodyear, Gencorp and TRW, showcasing his exceptional leadership and strategic vision.

Dr. Spanninger's earlier career included significant tenures with The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and Gencorp, where he made substantial contributions to the development and growth of these organizations. His work with these companies laid the foundation for his later successes and established him as a respected figure in the industry.

In addition to his corporate achievements, Dr. Spanninger has made substantial contributions to research and academia. He was awarded a National Institutes of Health grant and conducted research at the University of Texas alongside renowned chemist Dr. Michael Dewar.

Dr. Spanninger's professional journey began with an impressive academic foundation, earning a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in chemistry from Clemson University. He further honed his expertise through postdoctoral research in organic chemistry at the University of Texas at Austin from 1970 to 1973. Dr. Spanninger attributes his success to his motivation and desire for improvement, as well as the unwavering support and encouragement from his late wife, Janet Eileen.

Actively involved in civic organizations, Dr. Spanninger volunteers with an Alzheimer's group and follows research on the disease through reading various reports. He is also a donor to the BrightFocus Foundation, reflecting his commitment to giving back to the community.
