Her commitment to community service is further exemplified by her role on the board of directors for Cayuga Centers from 2017 to 2022 and her volunteer work with the Seward House Museum in Auburn, New York.

In her personal life, Ms. Smith cherishes time with her two young children and the deep, enduring connection she shares with her extended family. She credits her parents for instilling a sense of purpose, resilience and compassion that guides her work. Her husband, Robert, is her steady partner in every sense, offering strength, humor and unwavering belief in her goals, while her siblings have been her first friends, lifelong cheerleaders and grounding voices. Their love and support form the foundation that allows her to lead with heart and give to her work and community.
