Mr. Nebraska has established a distinguished career in the construction industry, marked by his expertise in construction project management and client relationship management. Since 2020, he has served as the vice president of construction at Bread Loaf Corporation, where he oversees a staff of 35 people. His responsibilities include coaching a team of project managers, superintendents, contractors and administrative staff. He achieves this by conducting one-on-one meetings to address challenges and stay informed about project developments, as well as participating in weekly team huddles. He takes great pride in being a mentor and helping his team grow.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Nebraska was a project executive at Peckham Industries Inc. from 2019 to 2020. Before serving Peckham Industries, he held the position of manager of client services at Bread Loaf Corporation from 2013 until 2018. During this time, he honed his skills in client satisfaction and relationship management, which have been instrumental in his career success.
From 2012 to 2013, Mr. Nebraska served as a general superintendent at Gilbane, where he led a team of seven superintendents on large-scale projects, including the New Patient Tower at Albany Medical Center. Despite initial delays, he successfully managed the team to deliver the project on time. His earlier tenure at Bread Loaf Corporation between 2004 and 2007 as a superintendent saw him transition into business development and sales before returning to a superintendent role for Gilbane.
Laying the foundation for Mr. Nebraska's career in construction management was his academic background, inclusive of a Bachelor of Arts in architecture from Lehigh University, which he earned in 1989. He further enhanced his qualifications with certifications such as the 30-Hour Construction Health and Safety certification from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration in 2002 and becoming a LEED Accredited Professional through the Green Building Certification Institute.
In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Nebraska has been actively involved in civic organizations. He has served on the planning commission for Middlebury, Vermont, since 2023 and previously held positions on the select board and planning commission for Manchester, Vermont. His commitment to community service is further exemplified by his roles as a board member and president of the Bromley Outing Club and as a trustee for the Southern Vermont Arts Center.
In the coming years, Mr. Nebraska plans to retire from his current role and establish his own consulting firm focused on claims management and schedule delays. Through this venture, he aims to leverage his extensive knowledge and experience to assist clients who can benefit from his expertise.
