Mr. Cummings is a digital producer at the Denver Gazette, where he helps manage publishing workflows and rewrites, optimizes headlines and supports content rollout across digital platforms. His contributions helped earn the Gazette the Colorado Press Association's award for best website in 2024.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Cummings has written for national and regional outlets, including Major League Soccer, the Chicago Tribune, the Dallas Morning News, the Orlando Sentinel and the Los Angeles Times. His bylines reflect a commitment to strong storytelling, public service journalism and digital-forward strategy.

He is also the founder and chief executive officer of MDC Media LLC, a media services company he launched in 2009 that provides writing, editing, branding, photography and digital consulting in the Denver metro area.

Mr. Cummings earned a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in journalism and French from the University of Denver. He continues to build expertise in emerging tools and trends, with a focus on artificial intelligence, digital strategy, audience analytics and newsroom leadership.

He serves on the board of the Society of Professional Journalists' Colorado Pro chapter and has contributed to the organization's scholarship, event and finance committees. In 2024, he was an advisory member of the Strategic Artificial Intelligence Program at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. Mr. Cummings is an active member of the Asian American Journalists Association, the Online News Association and the Society of Professional Journalists.

Outside the newsroom, Mr. Cummings is deeply engaged in community service and philanthropy, supporting organizations such as the Morgan Adams Foundation, the American Lung Association, the Cancer League of Colorado and Kroenke Sports Charities.

He currently resides in Denver's University Park neighborhood. In his free time, he enjoys exploring the city's cultural scene, spending time outdoors and walking with his two corgis. An avid traveler, he has visited 22 countries and values the global perspective it brings to his work.
