Mr. Sanghavi, a distinguished professional in the field of engineering and sustainability, is currently serving as the director of industrial sustainability at Salas O'Brien. In this role, he oversees the manufacturing division and leads the sustainability program, focusing on education, awareness, and initiatives to minimize environmental impact through project design and deliverables. With more than 40 years of experience in his profession, he has established himself as an expert in engineering, technical design, construction management, maintenance and operations.

In addition to his primary position, Mr. Sanghavi has been a principal at Ocean International LLC since 2018. Prior to his current roles, he held a significant tenure at Abbott from 1996 to 2018 as a senior principal engineer. During his time there, he was globally responsible for all manufacturing plants of Abbott Nutrition, managing utilities and sustainability across 17 large facilities worldwide. His efforts led to a substantial reduction in annual utility costs over five to seven years, saving the firm over $30 million through the implementation of capital projects and the operation optimization.

Mr. Sanghavi's career began at American Electric Power Company Inc., where he served as a senior engineer from 1986 to 1996. Furthering his industry expertise, is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers and the Association of Energy Engineers.

Serving as a foundation for his professional success, Mr. Sanghavi holds a Master of Science in mechanical engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in the same field from the University of Bombay, now known as the University of Mumbai in India, obtained before immigrating to the United States. Complementing his degrees, he is a certified energy manager with the Association of Energy Engineers, a professional engineer in the State of Ohio and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.

In his free time, Mr. Sanghavi is dedicated to volunteer work at local hospitals and as a teacher/ mentor for a library program where he teaches math and science to high school students. He also enjoys riding his bike, working out, traveling, and spending time with his family, along with playing Pickleball, Ping Pong, Bridge and Chess as hobbies.

Mr. Sanghavi's professional contributions have not gone unnoticed; he has received numerous awards for capital projects and was honored with the Presidential Award at Abbott. Reflecting on his career, he attributes his success to extreme discipline, staying up to date with technology in his field and effective networking. These elements have collectively contributed to his achievements and current status as a leader in industrial sustainability.
