CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA, July 02, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Paul Hendricks has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
An engineer by training, Mr. Hendricks excels as the managing director of Laird-Altman Holdings LLC, a small, registered investment advisory (RIA) business he founded. As managing director, he pragmatically researches equity sectors, style factors and a variety of macroeconomic factors to more accurately assist his clients. Through Laird-Altman, he offers portfolio management services to high-net-worth individuals and small institutions using cutting-edge information processing technologies.
Previously, Mr. Hendricks honed his professional experience in varying roles with IBM in sales, executive sales management and financial marketing support before obtaining the director/vice president role of the company's Open Infrastructure Offering. This was the industry's most comprehensive datacenter-as-a-service offering and allowed several of IBM's mega-clients to virtualize an on-premises datacenter infrastructure.
Before starting his professional journey, Mr. Hendricks earned a Bachelor of Science in industrial and operations engineering from the University of Michigan. He developed his technical skills through an assignment at the prestigious Bell Labs and as an undergraduate teaching assistant at the University of Michigan. Subsequently, he expanded his considerable expertise, earning a Series 65 license through the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
While his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Hendricks takes pride in working with IBM to break through a billion dollars in revenue to unprecedented levels. In his current role, he is a champion of small investors and enjoys providing institutional-grade risk-adjusted performance to clients who may have a small nest egg or those who need a trusted partner after years of building a sizeable complex portfolio.
Outside work, Mr. Hendricks has played in all the major U.S. squash championships and consistently is a patron of charity squash tournaments, although he may be better known as an indefatigable squash player than a tournament ace. While he has won tournaments in five decades from Boston, Massachusetts, to Charlottesville, Virginia, he enjoys competition at all levels with all partners, at any time, playing through any number of injuries. An advocate of women's sports, Mr. Hendricks was invited to play in a round-robin as the partner of an incredibly distinguished woman with early-onset dementia. It was one of the best moments of his life because they prevailed in what was one of her last serious matches. Mr. Hendricks has been nurturing his passion for sports since he was a student at Madison West High in Wisconsin, and he now imparts that passion to the next generation through after-school enrichment programs.
