Mrs. Walker's journey is marked by several prestigious roles in various industry-related organizations, including serving as vice chair of both the DC Bar Pro Bono Committee and the Council for Court Excellence (CCE) Justice Education Committee. Her leadership roles extend to having been the past president of both the Washington Bar Association and its Educational Foundation. Equally committed to pursuing a robust education, Mrs. Walker earned a Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University in 2004. Three years prior, she obtained a Bachelor of Science in political science and government from Howard University, graduating cum laude. To augment her legal qualifications, she is licensed to practice law by the DC Bar Association.

Also known for her dedication to civic endeavors, Mrs. Walker is a member of New Macedonian Baptist Church and a founding member of Power of 100, which brings together professional women from the Washington, D.C., area to vote on specific charitable organizations to donate to. The entity counts more than 100 members and has raised more than $25,000 in support of worthy causes. Her many contributions have been recognized with accolades such as the Gold Presidential Volunteer Service Award from President Joseph Biden in 2024 and being named Woman Bankruptcy Attorney of the Year by Lawyer Monthly Magazine in 2023. Additionally, she was listed among the Top 100 Lawyers by the National Black Lawyers Association in 2025.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Mrs. Walker takes immense pride in her family. Happily married and a proud mother of two sons, she considers her children to be the greatest achievements of her life. Her personal interests include traveling and writing, pursuits that provide balance to her demanding legal career.
