He is responsible for orchestrating schedules to deliver projects in artificial intelligence data centers, showcasing his expertise in project leadership and management.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Dr. Nwaiwu spent four years at Black & Veatch, where he was involved in various energy projects. His tenure at Black & Veatch was marked by his ability to lead complex initiatives and drive successful outcomes. Before that, he spent six years with CenterPoint, further honing his skills in energy projects and solidifying his reputation as an expert in petroleum engineering and project management. His career began with Halliburton Company, where he laid the foundation for his future successes.

Dr. Nwaiwu's academic achievements have been instrumental in his professional journey. He earned a Doctor of Philosophy from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia in 2025, and a Master of Business Administration from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in 2019. Additionally, he holds a master's degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Houston, completed in 2013, and a Bachelor of Science in petroleum engineering from the Federal University of Technology Owerri, obtained in 2009. These educational accomplishments have equipped him with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in his field.

Dr. Nwaiwu's dedication to excellence is further evidenced by his active involvement in industry-related organizations such as the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the Project Management Institute. He is also a member of the Rotary Club of Houston, reflecting his commitment to professional development and community engagement.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Nwaiwu is deeply committed to civic engagement and philanthropy. He founded College Scholarships for Individuals in Africa and Grants to Start Small Businesses through the BMO Foundation in 2023. His volunteer work includes contributions to St. Martin's Episcopal Church, local food banks, The Boys' Brigade and mentoring with the National Society of Black Engineers in Indiana.
