His career culminated in his role as supplier quality manager at Collins Aerospace, where he served from 2017 to 2025. During this same period, he also contributed as a supplier quality technician professional at Axiom Space Systems. In these roles, Mr. Johnson managed supplier compliance for both NASA and private-sector space travel initiatives. His work included first article inspections (FAI), root cause analysis, continuous improvement initiatives and regular supplier performance assessments.

Mr. Johnson's professional journey began with distinguished service in the U.S. Army. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, he served as an AH-64A/D/E Apache crew chief from 1998 to 2006 with the 3rd Infantry Division, 1st Armored Division, 3-4 ACR Cavalry, and 6-6 Air Cavalry Division. His military experience laid a solid foundation in aircraft maintenance, quality control, crash investigation and operational leadership.

After his military service, Mr. Johnson worked as an aircraft overhaul inspector at the Corpus Christi Army Depot from 2008 to 2010. He then advanced to the role of technical training advisor at the same facility from 2010 to 2014, where he developed technical training programs for aircraft technicians and quality inspectors, emphasizing data analysis and continuous improvement.

From 2014 to 2017, Mr. Johnson served as continuous improvement manager at the Advanced Military Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul Center (AMMROC) in the United Arab Emirates, a leader in integrated logistics and MRO services for military and aviation operations.

Mr. Johnson's academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in professional aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, received in 2009, and a Master of Science in project management, earned in 2015. These degrees have enhanced his technical expertise and leadership in aerospace quality systems and project execution.

Beyond his career, Mr. Johnson is deeply committed to community and professional development. He is a member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and actively mentors through youth football, basketball programs and the Young Engineers Program. He has contributed to the development of NASA's next-generation spacesuits, International Space Station waste systems, the Gateway space station, and air purification systems.

Looking ahead, Mr. Johnson aspires to become a quality director in the aerospace or space sectors and to launch his own quality engineering consulting firm. He remains committed to innovation, leadership, and empowering the next generation of aerospace professionals.
