Ms. Scully, a distinguished leader in the banking and academic sectors, currently serves as the dean of the Sellinger School of Business at her graduate school alma mater, Loyola University Maryland. Since assuming this role in 2022, she has been instrumental in achieving buy-in to a new strategic plan, updating the curriculum with an experiential learning focus, introducing new programs and leveraging the historical strengths of the business school. Her efforts have strengthened connections with employers, alumni and industry leaders, enhancing opportunities for student success. Additionally, Ms. Scully has facilitated faculty involvement in local nonprofit boards, reinforcing the business school's role as an anchor institution in the community.

Before being recruited to Loyola University, Ms. Scully was the co-founder and chief executive officer of Howard Bank between 2003 and 2022. Under her leadership, Howard Bank grew significantly, increasing its assets from $18 million in 2004 to approximately $2.5 billion by 2022. This growth was achieved through organic development and strategic mergers and acquisitions, culminating in the bank's public listing on Nasdaq.

Ms. Scully began her career at First National Bank of Maryland/Allfirst, where she advanced to the role of executive vice president before ending her tenure with the bank in 2003. During her time there, she held various roles, including corporate lender, international banker, strategic planner, mergers and acquisitions professional, and regional community banker. Ms. Scully ultimately oversaw retail, small business, middle market, and support units as part of the regional banking group, managing approximately $8 billion in assets and leading a team of 2,000 employees.

Possessing a rich educational background, Ms. Scully earned a bachelor's degree in American studies from Seton Hill University in 1973 and a Master of Business Administration in finance and accounting from Loyola University Maryland in 1979.

In addition to her professional achievements, Ms. Scully is deeply committed to civic engagement and community service. She has served on over 20 nonprofit boards throughout her career and is currently a board member of Capital Bank, Ignite Capital, and The Neighborhood Impact Investment Fund. Her dedication to community service is further exemplified by her role as board chair at Mount Saint Joseph College High School and as a director emerita at Enoch Pratt Library.

Ms. Scully's contributions have been recognized with numerous awards, including Industrialist of the Year from the Baltimore Museum of Industry in 2018, the Baltimore Sun Civic Leadership Award in 2020, and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Maryland Chamber of Commerce in 2022. She attributes her success to her strong work ethic, commitment to making a difference and willingness to take risks.
