NAPA, CA, July 09, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Richard A. Avery has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Marked by his current role as a senior project manager at Vanir, Mr. Avery has established a prominent career of nearly two decades in project management and engineering. In this capacity, he leads business development efforts to secure new projects and enhance company growth. With the organization serving a wide array of market sectors, including health care, transportation, education, science and technology and more, he is responsible for writing proposals that effectively communicate project objectives and align with client needs. One major project involves the construction of a 120,000-square-foot office building in Brentwood, California, which integrates virtual services technology to enhance community services.

Prior to joining Vanir, Mr. Avery founded Mystic Bruin Company, LLC, where he manufactured small craft beers in Napa, California, from 2021 to 2024. During this period, he honed his entrepreneurial skills and expanded his expertise in business management. Before establishing Mystic Bruin, he was a senior construction manager at Cordoba Corporation from 2020 to 2021. His responsibilities included overseeing the planning and development of large-scale education data centers and technology infrastructure projects while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Mr. Avery's career at Cordoba also included a significant role as a resident engineer from 2019 to 2020, during which he spearheaded a $180 million upgrade construction project for a water treatment plant. His earlier experience as a founding engineer and project manager at Energy Rich Engineering LLC, where he gained significant experience in analysis, design and operations consultation in the natural gas industry, further solidified his reputation in the engineering realm. Additionally, he served as a project manager and associate owner at Campos Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) from 2017 to 2018 and as a senior engineer from 2014 to 2017.

Earlier in his storied journey, Mr. Avery was a lead pipeline engineer at Gas Transmission Systems Inc. from 2011 to 2014, during which he developed his technical expertise and leadership acumen while performing hydrostatic tests on numerous natural gas pipelines and resolving engineering issues. He began his career by serving as a logistics specialist in the United States Marine Corps from 2002 to 2008. During this time, he supervised and trained large teams of marines and was involved in Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) as well as Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF), establishing key supply routes and medical evacuations.

Dedicated to the ideals of lifelong learning and professional growth, Mr. Avery earned an executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in global management from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Anderson School of Management in 2021, where he also obtained certifications in technology management and entrepreneurship. Although the COVID-19 pandemic caused classes to move from in-person to virtual formats, the sudden lack of necessary travel allowed him to take on more coursework and opportunities than originally planned. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from California State University, Sacramento in 2010, where he was recognized on the dean's honor roll by The College of Engineering and Computer Science.

To expand his knowledge and qualifications, Mr. Avery is certified as a DBIA associate by the Design-Build Institute of America and completed the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10-hour construction certification course through ClickSafety. Additionally, he is certified as a private pilot airman and a sUAS commercial airman by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), highlighting his remarkable dedication to personal and professional growth.

Mr. Avery attributes much of his success to the principles of relationships, reputation and results — a transformative philosophy he learned during his MBA studies. He emphasizes the "three Rs" daily as he collaborates with colleagues, believing that maintaining these values leads to healthy long-term partnerships and increased business opportunities.

Looking toward the future, Mr. Avery aims to secure a director role where he can lead other passionate managers while continuing to contribute positively to his community through his work at Vanir. Committed to mentoring others within his team and enhancing their reputation to attract more opportunities within their field, he continues to build a legacy of making a meaningful impact in all areas of his life.
