From 2006 to 2014, Dr. Zhou held multiple roles at Colgate-Palmolive Company, including Far East manager of veterinary medical affairs and senior marketing manager for innovation and new product development. His contributions were pivotal in driving the company's growth in the region. Before joining Colgate-Palmolive, Dr. Zhou was the global technical service manager at Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health (now MSD Animal Health) between 2005 and 2006.

Dr. Zhou's career began with significant public health work as a state public health veterinarian and veterinary epidemiologist with the Indiana Department of Health from 1993 to 1995. He then gained recognition for his decade-long tenure at Pfizer Inc., where he served as veterinary professional service director, global veterinary consultant and Asia tech service manager, beginning in 1995.

Dr. Zhou's academic background laid a strong foundation for his professional achievements. He earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Guangxi University in 1982, a Master of Science in veterinary medical science from Mississippi State University in 1987 and a Doctor of Philosophy in epidemiology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1992. Additionally, Dr. Zhou completed executive programs in leadership and management at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan in 2001.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Dr. Zhou has been active through his volunteer work, namely with ENOUGH at Elanco from 2014 to 2018. His innovative contributions have been recognized with an Innovation Award, underscoring his impact on the industry.
