NEW YORK, NY, July 09, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mariano Testa has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
An acclaimed creative visionary, Mr. Testa is renowned for his transformative impact across fashion, beauty and now film. After an electrifying tenure as senior vice president of global creative at L'Oréal, where he redefined the global storytelling of Kiehl's and guided the brand into a new era of emotional relevance and digital innovation, Mr. Testa has stepped into the next act of his creative life: filmmaking. He recently left his executive role to pursue directing full-time, joining the prestigious Smith& Agency, where he brings his cinematic instinct and poetic visual language to both commercial and narrative work.
With a career spanning over two decades, Mr. Testa's creative legacy is defined by bold reinvention and emotional clarity. At L'Oréal, he led the worldwide creative vision for Kiehl's, overseeing a global team and launching brand campaigns that spanned more than 150 markets. He brought a deeply human and modern lens to the 170-year-old apothecary brand—one that earned acclaim not only for its storytelling but also for its commitment to sustainability and heritage. His tenure marked a turning point in how global beauty brands speak to their audiences: not with trends, but with truth.
Before joining L'Oréal, Mr. Testa served as chief creative officer of Stila Cosmetics, where he oversaw a complete global rebrand and spearheaded high-profile campaigns translated into more than 15 languages. His leadership, always grounded in the belief that beauty begins with authenticity, elevated the brand's voice across continents. His earlier years were shaped at Ralph Lauren, where, from 2012 to 2020, he rose through the ranks to become creative director. At Ralph Lauren, Mr. Testa helped define the brand's Americana aesthetic across print, digital and experiential platforms, fusing emotional storytelling with cinematic elegance.
An Argentinian native, Mr. Testa's creative sensibility was shaped by his early education at the University of Buenos Aires and later refined at the Escuela Eina, University of Barcelona, where he earned a degree in graphic design and visual arts. After relocating to New York City, he quickly emerged as a rising force in luxury branding, editorial and creative direction. His early work at Sandow Media sharpened his visual storytelling skills, which would become his trademark across industries.
In parallel with his creative leadership, Mr. Testa has always made time for mentorship and community. He taught as a part-time professor at Parsons School of Design during the COVID-19 pandemic, helping students navigate uncertainty with resilience and creative courage. He continues to support causes close to his heart, including LGBTQ+ youth advocacy through The Trevor Project and animal welfare via the ASPCA. His personal life is equally rich with purpose: he is a dedicated dog dad, a lover of classic cinema and a passionate photography enthusiast.
Now, as a director represented by Smith&, Mr. Testa is channeling the full force of his experience into a new medium. His work in progress includes a personal documentary and several film projects exploring identity, memory and transformation. For Mr. Testa, storytelling isn't a skill; it's a way of being.
"This chapter isn't a culmination; it's a cinematic first act," says Mr. Testa. "I'm just getting started."
