As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

A distinguished communications and marketing professional, Ms. Salmons has served as the associate vice president for marketing at Stephens College since her recent promotion in June 2025. Reporting to the chief of staff and president, she leads marketing and communications efforts with an aim toward advancing the college's mission and enhancing its visibility and engagement with prospective students and alumni. Finding fulfillment in her leadership position, she focuses on strategic thinking and deliberate choices to promote the college effectively.

Ms. Salmons joined Stephens College in 2022 as the director of communications and honed her skills in managing communication strategies within an academic setting. She briefly contributed to internal communications at the University of Missouri in 2023 before returning to Stephens College that same year as the associate vice president for enrollment management and marketing. Her responsibilities in this role included developing and implementing social media strategies to bolster the college's online presence and overseeing digital marketing initiatives, such as website rebranding and content creation.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Salmons served as a communications instructor at State Technical College of Missouri from 2010 to 2019, where she also contributed to college-wide committees supporting accreditation efforts. From 2008 to 2010, she was a news writer for Missouri Lawyers Media after beginning her career as a general assignment reporter at The Washington Missourian for the preceding four years.

Complementing her experience, Ms. Salmons has been enriched by her involvement with industry-related organizations, such as the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, the American Marketing Association, the Institute for Higher Education Policy and the Multi-State Collaborative on Military Credit Steering Committee. She is also a member of the Student Learning Outcomes Committee, SkillsUSA and the Higher Learning Commission.

Educationally, Ms. Salmons holds a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing from Lindenwood University, completed in 2009, and a Bachelor of Arts in English and theatre from Truman State University, earned in 2001. Additionally, she holds certifications as a Green Belt from The Lean Six Sigma Company and Show Me SMART Projects from the State of Missouri.

Ms. Salmons' success is deeply rooted in the support of her family and mentors who have encouraged her growth beyond her current roles. She attributes much of her professional development to her supportive parents, who allowed her the freedom to explore and learn from mistakes. Her husband has also been a steadfast partner throughout her journey, contributing significantly to managing family responsibilities alongside their four children.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Ms. Salmons is dedicated to civic work, serving on the School Advisory Council at Cathedral of St. Joseph Catholic School since 2024 and as a hospitality assistant for the Diocese of Jefferson City since 2023. She was also a merit badge counselor for the Boy Scouts of America from 2011 to 2016. Her personal interests include reading, writing poetry, music, gardening, animals and spending quality time with family.

In recognition of her achievements, Ms. Salmons has been honored with the Good DHEWD Award from the Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development.
