He serves as the chief operating officer and managing deputy commissioner for O'Hare and Midway International Airports. In this role, he oversees six critical sections within the department, pivotal in the $8.5 billion "O'Hare 21" renovation project aimed at expanding and modernizing airport facilities.

Mr. Diaz's academic achievements have been instrumental in his professional success. He earned a Master of Business Administration from Northeastern Illinois University in 2018, following a Bachelor of Science in business administration from DePaul University in 2013 and an Associate degree in science from Triton College in 2009. These educational accomplishments have equipped him with a robust foundation in business management, enhancing his ability to lead complex operations within military and civilian contexts.

Throughout his career, Mr. Diaz has been recognized for his exemplary service and leadership with numerous awards, including two Navy Commendation Medals, a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, an Iraqi Campaign Medal, a Global War on Terrorism Medal, a Good Conduct Medal, and a National Defense Medal. These accolades reflect his unwavering commitment to excellence and dedication to duty.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Diaz is actively involved in civic activities as a head coach for kids' sports teams, where he imparts valuable life skills and teamwork principles to young athletes. His passion for martial arts is evident through his lifelong practice of Kung Fu, Jujitsu, Muay Thai, and his role as a Brown Belt Instructor in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program.
