RAVENNA, OH, July 10, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- James A. Wasas has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Wasas has cultivated a distinguished reputation marked by significant contributions to science and technology. At Standard H2 Inc., he has served as the chief science officer since 2019 and as the board chairman since 2021. Concurrently, he has excelled as the chief science officer of H2 Final Filter Inc. since 2021, where he similarly serves as board chairman. Mr. Wasas' leadership approach in each distinct role reflects his deep commitment to advancing H2 technologies, promoting environmental sustainability, developing PPE to kill the pathogens trapped by face masks and other air filters, and removing the rotten-egg odor of hydrogen sulfide and decaying matter from gases and water.

Before progressing to his current positions, Mr. Wasas was the chief science officer at Kent PaverBrick LLC and Kent PaverBrick Holdings LLC from 2015 to 2020. His tenure there was preceded by his role as director of refining operations at the Great American Mint and Refinery Inc. in Anaheim, California, from 2013 to 2015. Additionally, since 2011, Mr. Wasas has been the chief operating officer at EnviroPavers, further demonstrating his versatility and expertise in various sectors. His earlier titles include chief science officer at Swapsol Corp., a New Jersey-based research and development company, from 2007 to 2012, and at Conklin Marketing Inc., a New Jersey-based liquor manufacturing company, from 2001 to 2007.

Mr. Wasas has also built an international presence, in part defined by his work as a project manager for Minanca in Portovelo, Ecuador, from 1999 to 2001 and for Compañía Minera Zambrano SA in Machala, Ecuador, from 1997 to 1999. Notably, he thrived as the technical director with Rumicuri SA in Ponce Enriquez, Ecuador, between 1995 and 1997 and as the chief operating officer at Amerbrit SA in Quito, Ecuador, from 1990 to 1995. Mr. Wasas began his 14-year career in Ecuador as director of research and gold refining at Geevor PLC's Ecuadorian branch in Quito in 1988.

Mr. Wasas gained early professional experience as a research chemist at J&J's Permacel Division in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Then followed his 3-year military service and several years in the Artisan's Showcase of Handcrafted Jewelry as a goldsmith, silversmith and head of refining and alloying. In each position, Mr. Wasas relied on experience and training in time and motion studies gained during his military service in the U.S. Army, where he ultimately rose to the rank of captain. His experience being stationed in Japan and Thailand from 1968 to 1971 instilled a foundation of discipline and refined leadership that has infused each of his endeavors since.

Mr. Wasas also boasts key academic credentials, including a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry with a minor in business administration from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, where he was named to the Dean's List for academic excellence. He has been actively involved with the Statue of Liberty Club since 2003 and previously served on the Point Pleasant Beach Environmental Commission from 2010 to 2013. Mr. Wasas' accolades include a Platinum Award from the World Beverage Competition in Switzerland in 2009 for "The Spirit of Liberty American Cream Liqueur" and a gold medal for his invention, "Espiritu del Ecuador," a cordial liqueur he invented while living in Quito, Ecuador.

As a reflection of his pioneering spirit, Mr. Wasas believes necessity is the mother of invention and secured patents in 2010, 2016, and 2021 for converting hydrogen sulfide into hydrogen and sulfur, for destroying carbonaceous materials, and, more recently, for patent work that eliminates NOx from diesel and power plant exhaust without using ammonia or DEF. His current patent work is for killing pathogens on contact when trapped during air filtration, while also eliminating many foul or toxic odors. Each signature accomplishment reflects his dedication to reducing emissions of carbon dioxide and environmental toxins and promoting sustainable energy solutions.

Among Mr. Wasas' most notable professional achievements thus far is his successful transition from military to civilian endeavors. He is also proud of his ability to identify pain points, which he calls "needs," and invent solutions to them—a rare skill that creates opportunities to help solve problems on a global scale.
