Before that, he served as director of lodging development for the Southeast region from 2016 to 2019, where he further developed his acumen in franchise development and market penetration strategies.

Mr. DiBenedetto's career began at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc., where he held various roles. Starting as an intern in field marketing in 2008, he quickly advanced to coordinator and specialist positions before becoming a manager in field marketing from 2014 to 2015. His transition to franchise development as a manager in 2015 marked a turning point, leading to his securing a role as associate director for North America franchise development in the Southeast in 2016. These experiences laid a strong foundation for his subsequent achievements at Marriott.

Mr. DiBenedetto is committed to professional growth and industry engagement through his involvement and partnership in multiple lodging associations and industry conferences across the country. His dedication is further exemplified by his involvement with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, where he focuses on fundraising efforts and participates in their leadership class. Mr. DiBenedetto's academic background includes a bachelor's degree in marketing from the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University, earned in 2009. While he was concentrating on real estate in his early years, his family encouraged him to better leverage his innate abilities and instead pivot to sales and marketing. Mr. DiBenedetto has always attributed much of his growth and success to the guidance and unwavering support of his family.

Throughout his career, Mr. DiBenedetto has received numerous accolades and recognition for his hard work and contributions. Outside of his professional endeavors, Mr. DiBenedetto enjoys spending time with his two sons, Luke and Logan, and his wife, Carissa. His family spends most of their free time together outdoors engaging in activities such as fishing, hunting, camping and golfing. He is actively involved in youth baseball and other sports with his children and cherishes time spent at the lake with his family.
