Ms. Kritz has dedicated her career to the field of academic advising, currently serving as an academic advisor for the Advancing Completion through Engagement (ACE) program at SUNY New Paltz, The State University of New York. Since 2024, she has been instrumental in guiding students through their academic journeys, ensuring they receive the necessary support to succeed. Her role involves frequent meetings with students, providing advice and connecting them with other resources when needed. Her ability to connect with students and serve as their advocate is one of her most notable achievements, as she often becomes a confidante for those who may not open up to others.

Prior to her current position, Ms. Kritz was a senior student services administrator at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 2020 to 2024. In this role, she advised graduate students, participated in the admissions process and oversaw major testing milestones. Additionally, she managed financials, such as payment management and grant administration for students. Her expertise in academic advising and her commitment to student success were further honed during her tenure at New York University's Tandon School of Engineering for the preceding two years, where she advised undergraduate computer science students.

Ms. Kritz's earlier career includes her work at Long Island University as a pharmacy academic advisor from 2015 to 2018. She also gained valuable experience as a parent and family relations assistant at The College of Saint Rose in 2015 and again the previous year. Her early career included roles as a wellness coach at Greater Glenville YMCA and an intern at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. As a member of NASPA and NACADA, she has remained engaged with industry-related organizations throughout her career.

Academically, Ms. Kritz's background includes a Master of Science in Education in college student services administration from The College of Saint Rose in 2014 and a Bachelor of Science in child and family studies with a minor in dance from SUNY Oneonta, The State University of New York, in 2011. In addition to her education, she attributes much of her success to her ability to listen to her students and provide the understanding they need, drawing on her own experiences within the SUNY system.

Ms. Kritz's journey into academia was influenced by her initial intention to become an elementary school teacher. However, after observing the stress young children faced during state testing, she chose a different path that allows her to support students without subjecting them to undue pressure. Her dedication to student success continues to drive her career forward as she aspires to see as many students graduate as possible.

Outside her professional life, Ms. Kritz dedicates time to civic work, volunteering at local theaters. Her personal interests include relaxing with family and friends, watching TV and theater shows, hiking, swimming and boating, reading and dancing, which she has enjoyed since the age of eight.
