Prior to establishing his own production company, Mr. Uzzell honed his skills at the National Geographic Society. From 1973 to 1975, he served as a photographer, capturing images that have left an indelible mark on the world of visual media. Before this role, he was an assistant to the editor, Gil Grosvenor, from 1972 to 1973, where he gained invaluable insights into the editorial process and the power of storytelling through imagery.

Mr. Uzzell's early military service with the United States Army instilled in him a sense of discipline and resilience that has been instrumental throughout his career. His expertise in every area of general photography is widely recognized, and he was a long time member of the American Society of Media Photographers.

Mr. Uzzell's academic foundation was laid at the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he earned a bachelor's degree in journalism in 1970. This education provided him with a strong grounding in communication and storytelling, skills that have been pivotal in his career as a photographer and speaker. He attributes much of his success to his unwavering curiosity and determination to never give up.
