BROKEN ARROW, OK, July 16, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Samantha Jean Day has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

As the Senior Manager of Collections at Cherokee Nation Entertainment, the gaming and hospitality company of the Cherokee Nation, Ms. Day has built a distinguished career marked by dedication and resilience. Since 2023, she has leveraged her experience in collections to excel in this role. Her journey with CNE began in 2017 when she joined as a Senior Administrative Assistant in the finance department. Over the years, she advanced to become an Executive Staff Coordinator and later an Executive Paralegal, working closely with C-level executives and playing a vital role in significant projects. She was instrumental in building a Credit and Collections department for the commercial gaming arm of the company.

Prior to her tenure at CNE, Ms. Day served as a District Court Bailiff at the Tulsa County District Court from 2015 to 2017. Her responsibilities included maintaining order within the courtroom until such time as she would announce the arrival of the District Judge, along with the preparation of jury instructions and jury coordination throughout the trial and during deliberation. This was a role that required both diligence and integrity. Before this position, she was elected as the Adair County Court Clerk, where she served from 2005 to 2015. During her decade-long service, Ms. Day played a pivotal role in the operation of the court system. Besides maintaining the court records, coordinating proceedings, and ensuring public access to the legal process, Ms. Day's most notable achievement was automating the court system in Adair County, a project that demanded immense dedication and teamwork. This achievement streamlined access to case files for the public and legal professionals alike. But most importantly, Ms. Day treasures the opportunities she's had to serve and support her community during the most stressful and pivotal moments in their lives.

Ms. Day's legal career began much earlier when she worked as a Certified Paralegal for various law firms in Stilwell, Oklahoma, and the surrounding area, from 1997 to 2004. Her specialization in bankruptcy and probate law laid a strong foundation for her future endeavors. This followed her initial role as a Legal Assistant and Certified Paralegal with J. Dewayne Littlejohn, Attorney at Law, from 1984 to 1999. It was under Mr. Littlejohn's mentorship that Ms. Day refined her skills and gained a profound understanding of the legal field. Mr. Littlejohn was a general practice attorney, giving Ms. Day the opportunity to gain practical experience across nearly every area of the law.

After earning a high school diploma and completing legal secretary courses through the local Vo-Tech, Day was determined to excel in the field she had chosen. She obtained her paralegal certification from the National Association of Legal Assistants in 1997 and later achieved advanced certifications in contract management, trial practice, e-discovery and real estate principles. In recognition of her expertise, she maintains both certified paralegal and advanced certified paralegal designations through NALA, The Paralegal Association.

In addition to her professional achievements, Ms. Day has been actively involved in civic organizations, dating back to 1992. She has served as a board member and volunteer for the Adair County Sheltered Workshop, the Christian Children's Fund and the Adair County Environmental Health Initiative, which began as an Anti-Drug Coalition. Her commitment to community service extends to volunteering with adult handicapped persons, drug free programs and tobacco awareness through the TSET Program.

In her personal life, Ms. Day cherishes time spent with her four sons and grandchildren. As a young mother, her life revolved around the countless sporting events her sons participated in—especially baseball, which became a cornerstone of her family's life for nearly twenty-five years. She also enjoys traveling with her husband and looks forward to returning to Adair County on occasion, in hopes of making a positive impact on her hometown community through continued volunteer work in that area. As she continues her career journey, Ms. Day remains committed to leaving a lasting legacy that her family can be proud of, both professionally and personally. One built of service, integrity and dedication.
