LINDENHURST, IL, July 16, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jennifer D. Lamb, CRCM, CAMS, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Drawing on extensive expertise in risk management and compliance regulations, Ms. Lamb has carved a prominent career of more than 20 years in the banking industry. Currently serving as vice president II of credit card compliance at Credit One Bank in Las Vegas, she leads a team responsible for ensuring marketing-related compliance across the company's credit card and digital banking divisions. Her team meticulously reviews all marketing materials to ensure adherence to regulations such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act and Regulation DD (Truth in Savings Act). Additionally, she acts as an advisory partner for new product launches, providing guidance on compliance standards and maintaining the bank's regulatory integrity.
Ms. Lamb's journey in the financial sector began at MBNA America Bank in Wilmington, Delaware, where she started as a customer satisfaction specialist in 2002 before being promoted to a compliance-related position. Her leadership and commitment to continuous learning saw her advance through various roles, including quality control coordinator and credit analyst, before becoming a section manager in customer service.
With her successful tenure at MBNA, Ms. Lamb laid a strong foundation for nearly 20 years of contributions at Discover Financial Services in Riverwoods, Illinois. Starting as a section leader of the billing disputes department, she advanced to the role of project manager of customer experience engineering, where she conducted executive calls within the customer service department and highlighted key areas for improvement throughout the company. Each of her roles gave her increasingly diverse experience, allowing her to collaborate with marketing teams and understand their challenges while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Though her banking career counts many notable achievements, Ms. Lamb is especially proud of her time as the director and anti-money laundering (AML) officer at Discover from 2014 to 2017. During this time, she played a crucial role in helping Discover exit a consent order related to the Bank Secrecy Act and AML compliance, a testament to her leadership and expertise in regulatory matters. She continued to excel at the company, serving as the director of the corporate risk program office before taking on the role of director of student loans, consent order regulatory reporting and communication.
Before venturing onto her vocational path, Ms. Lamb successfully earned a Bachelor of Arts in performing arts from Emerson College, graduating cum laude in 1998. Although her initial career aspirations were in acting and modeling, her transition into banking was guided by valuable advice from her father to find a job she enjoyed and serve diligently to advance. To expand her banking knowledge and qualifications, she is certified as a regulatory compliance manager (CRCM) by the American Bankers Association and as an anti-money laundering specialist (CAMS) by the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists.
In recognition of her professional achievements at Discover, Ms. Lamb was honored with the President's Award for outstanding contributions in both 2007 and 2010. She attributes her success to a combination of internal drive and genuine passion for her work, both of which were key in transitioning to a different field after graduating from college. She is equally appreciative of Nancy O'Keefe, her former vice president at Discover, whose guidance and mentorship within the compliance program office was crucial in shaping her professional ethos.
In her personal life, Ms. Lamb is deeply knowledgeable about movie and television history and enjoys cooking and traveling with her family. Happily married and a proud mother of two children, she is immensely grateful for their support throughout her career endeavors. Also known for her contributions as a civic-minded citizen, she is actively involved with Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE), a personal dedication driven by her son's multiple food allergies.
Looking to the future, Ms. Lamb aims to expand her expertise in compliance with aspirations of growing into a senior vice president role herself. She is currently being mentored by Melissa Privette, a senior vice president at Credit One Bank who is playing an active role in guiding her professional development. With her knowledge, passion and diverse experience, she is well positioned to reach her next goal while making a lasting impact on the wider banking industry.
