Mr. Fischer's passion for news began during his teenage years while attending Fairfax High School, where he was chosen to participate in a student-run TV news program and further developed a passion for videography. After graduating from Fairfax High School in Los Angeles, he followed in his father's footsteps and entered the journalism profession, starting as a desk assistant at KTTV-TV. Mr. Fischer would go on to hold impressive leadership positions such as managing director at Multimedia Graphic Network, news director at The CW San Diego, and NBC Palm Springs. Throughout his illustrious media career, he has been recognized with numerous accolades, including multiple Emmy Awards for camera work and broadcasts, numerous Golden Mics from the Radio Television News Association, and awards from the Los Angeles Press Club.

Other roles held by Mr. Fischer include director of local program development and news at ABC4 Utah and FOX 29; during his tenure at ABC4 Utah, he created the top-rated show "Good Things Utah," a local program that continues to air today. Previously, he served as assistant news director and executive producer of the KTLA Morning News at KTLA, and technical manager for ABC Network News, roles that saw him working alongside renowned journalists like Ted Koppel, Peter Jennings, and Barbara Walters. His journey in media began to take off as a news cameraman at KTLA 5 News, where he quickly advanced to chief cameraman and then supervisor of news technical operations. His Emmy-winning coverage of a plane hanging upside down in high-tension wires in Ontario, CA, marked a pivotal moment in his early career.

In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Fischer has taught since 2016 at the University of California, Los Angeles Extension, where he teaches students to create engaging stories that resonate with audiences. His involvement with industry organizations such as the Radio and Television News Association of Southern California and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences further highlights his commitment to advancing the field.

Outside of his professional life, Mr. Fischer enjoys hiking, water skiing, snow skiing, playing golf, watching movies, and cars.
