WASHINGTON, DC, July 17, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Yasmina Nour Ahdab has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. Ms. Ahdab has established herself as a communications specialist at the Planetary Health Alliance, Johns Hopkins University, where she has played a pivotal role in building a global network of individuals dedicated to planetary health. Her role involves managing an online community platform which connects nearly 4,500 members worldwide. Ms. Ahdab's efforts have significantly enhanced the platform's user experience by providing research tools and solutions that empower individuals to effect change in their communities. Her work on branding for the annual meeting organized by the Planetary Health Alliance has also resulted in a remarkable increase in abstract submissions.

Before her current position, Ms. Ahdab served as a content creator for Digital Revamp from 2022 to 2023. During this time, she refined her skills in digital communication and content strategy, laying the foundation for her subsequent achievements. Her earlier role as a co-founder and project manager of Free and Fair Lebanon Web between 2021 and 2022 showcased her leadership abilities. In her role, Ms. Ahdab successfully mobilized a larger portion of the diaspora than ever before to support independent political candidates in Lebanon, translating information from Arabic into English and spearheading the development of a comprehensive website and blog.

Ms. Ahdab's commitment to conservation was evident during her tenure as an AmeriCorps member with the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation in 2021. Her responsibilities included environmental education and community engagement, solidifying her dedication to ecological preservation.

Highly educated, Ms. Ahdab received a bachelor's degree in zoology, conservation biology and visual media from New York University in 2019. As a graduate student researcher at Imperial College London from 2019 to 2020, Ms. Ahdab conducted innovative research on vertebrate evolution and the impact of human activities on Kentish plovers' breeding behavior. After earning her Master of Research in ecology, evolution and conservation research from Imperial College London, she completed a Master of Arts in communication from The Johns Hopkins University in 2023.

Ms. Ahdab's expertise extends beyond academia into civic engagement and creative endeavors. She has served as an event photographer for the Public Relations Society of America Inc., an advisory board member for InnerChange Works and a keynote speaker at Sidwell Friends School for two consecutive years—addressing the middle school in 2024 and the lower school in 2025. Her previous involvement with organizations such as Photographers Without Borders underscores her commitment to using photography as a tool for storytelling and raising awareness about environmental and social issues.

In recognition of her contributions, Ms. Ahdab has been nominated as a U.S. Delegate for Youth Leading Now and as a Game-Changing Woman by The Disruptive Quarterly. Furthermore, her photographs have been selected for an online museum highlighting water and land conservation as well as Indigenous Peoples' rights, further cementing her reputation as an accomplished nature photographer.

Looking ahead, Ms. Ahdab envisions working with mission-driven organizations that embody core values related to environmental issues, biodiversity and human health. She aims to translate research into action through behavior change campaigns while aspiring to hold senior positions in marketing and communications or become an executive at a mission-driven organization. Additionally, Ms. Ahdab plans to advocate for regenerative land management practices and create opportunities for others to engage with native habitats and wildlife in her local community.
