After they purchased the clinic nearly five years ago, his wife managed the clinic's daily operations while he completed his tenure at Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health USA Inc., where he served as a district sales manager from 1994 to 2025.

During his career of over 30 years at Boehringer Ingelheim, Mr. West was responsible for overseeing operations throughout the districts of Kentucky and Tennessee. He managed a team of eight representatives who promoted leading pet health products such as NexGard and Heartgard to veterinarians. His commitment to hiring and training individuals has long been a source of pride, giving him great pleasure in witnessing their transformation into successful contributors throughout the company. Such dedication has earned him accolades such as the Sales Representative of the Year Award from the Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association, along with multiple President's Circle and Vital Circle Awards for outstanding performance.

Mr. West's journey into the animal health industry began after an unexpected layoff from Carina just three days before his daughter was born, which led him to pursue a career in direct sales. As such a position required a college education, he went on to obtain a master's degree in business, management, marketing and related support services from Lincoln Memorial University in 2008. Coupled with the natural inner drive inspired by his mother, his academic endeavors laid a strong foundation for his success in sales management and business operations.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. West is recognized as a lifetime member of the Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association and actively participates in civic organizations. He is also a member of West Park Baptist Church and supports causes such as the Fraternal Order of Police and local humane societies. Committed to enhancing community welfare beyond his professional life, he donates to human shelters and rescues dogs while his wife participates in charity work through Forest Park Animal Clinic.

Mr. West's personal life is enriched by his love for dancing, target practice at the local gun range and traveling with his family. He shares these interests with his wife, with whom he competes in ballroom dance competitions across various styles including waltz, rumba and tango. The couple has traveled extensively, visiting destinations such as Hawaii, Alaska, Italy, Turkey and Argentina to experience and enjoy different cultures.

As a proud father of four children and owner of six rescue Chihuahua dogs, Mr. West remains deeply committed to improving the quality of life for pets through his work at Forest Park Animal Clinic.
