Since 1991, he has been the owner, chief instructor and program director of Bellevue Martial Arts Academy and Hufana Traditional Arnis International, managing business operations, teaching and mentoring. In his leadership roles, he exercises a passion for martial arts rooted in family heritage, with a tradition of eskrima passed down from his great-great-grandfather to his father, which inspired Mr. Hufana to begin practicing martial arts in earnest at the age of seven.

In addition to his work in martial arts, Mr. Hufana has forged a strong reputation in the insurance industry. Since 2001, he has been associated with State Farm and Farmers Insurance Company as an insurance agent and a broker. His expertise in this field is reflected by his current Washington State insurance license in property, casualty, liability and life, endorsed by Farmers Insurance Company. Mr. Hufana is also certified and licensed to sell commercial insurance through the Washington State Insurance Licensing Office.

In each of his current roles, Mr. Hufana relies on experience gained through a 15-year tenure with AT&T as an account executive. Notably, he accepted the Circle of Excellence award in 1989, which marked a significant achievement early in his career. He first exhibited his entrepreneurial spirit in 2003 with the launch of the World Filipino Martial Arts Association, where he served as president for eight years. Under Mr. Hufana's leadership, the association brought renowned martial arts teachers from the Philippines to the United States for a three-day event focused on teaching martial arts.

A passion for continuous improvement prompted Mr. Hufana to complete coursework in architecture at Washington State University. Although he did not pursue a degree in this field, the discipline and analytical skills gained from his studies have contributed to his success in both martial arts and business operations. Additionally, Mr. Hufana has secured several distinct certifications in martial arts, including punong guro and grand master titles in Filipino martial arts and traditional taekwondo.

Mr. Hufana remains committed to civic engagement and cultural promotion, and since 1995, he has served as an event coordinator and program director for arts and culture at Pagdiriwang of Washington. As evidenced by his contributions to the Indie Film Documentary of Philippine Martial Arts, which won the New York International Film Festival for Sports Documentary award in 2010, he has also made significant contributions to preserving Filipino martial arts through media applications. Notably, Mr. Hufana has been acknowledged with numerous accolades, including induction into Bruce Lee's Motivational Hall of Fame for Martial Artists in 2014 and multiple Martial Arts Hall of Fame honors.

The unwavering support of his wife and two children, as well as the teachings of his parents, are key components of Mr. Hufana's personal and professional advancement.
