Dr. Faust attended undergraduate college at Florida State University in Tallahassee. She received a BA degree in Spanish. During that time, she spent her junior year in Spain at the University of Madrid. Upon her graduation in 1965, she became a teacher at Winter Park High School in Winter Park, Florida, where she taught Spanish. She then moved to Miami and applied to PanAmerican Airways to become a flight attendant, where she flew mostly to the Caribbean Islands and South America. She applied to the University of Miami embarking on the pursuit of her higher degrees, while also meeting her husband, a professor at the university. She received her master's degree, then her Doctorate in Counseling Psychology in 1974. She immediately established her private practice in Las Vegas and at the same time applied to the State of Nevada as a psychologist at The Nevada Girls' Training Center where she worked with delinquent girls for several years, commuting between Caliente and Las Vegas.

Enjoying a long and impactful career as a licensed marriage and family therapist in Las Vegas, Dr. Faust became an expert in individual counseling, relationship counseling, and couples counseling. Her ability to create a trusting environment for her clients allowed her to break through emotional barriers and offer invaluable support. Dr. Faust's intuitive approach and excellent listening skills were instrumental in providing a safe space for individuals to share their innermost thoughts.

Throughout her career, Dr. Faust has been actively involved in several professional organizations, including the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, the Nevada Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and the American Psychological Association. Studying with and influenced by renowned Gestalt therapists Erv and Miriam Polster, she attributes much of her professional success to the respect she had for her patients, embracing them as they presented themselves. Her commitment to these associations reflects her dedication to advancing the field of mental health.

Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Faust has made significant contributions to civic organizations. She served as the first president of the Women's Crisis Center (now Temporary Assistance for Domestic Crises), demonstrating her commitment to supporting those in need. Additionally, she has served as a Board member for the Rape Crisis Center.

Dr. Faust considers helping countless individuals throughout her career as her greatest achievement. Her strong reputation within the community is a testament to her dedication and the impact she had as a therapist.
