While serving in this capacity for the Chariton Valley Planning & Development Council of Governments, Ms. Moore briefly worked for Monroe County, Iowa, from 2018 to 2020 as a planning and zoning administrator. During this time, she honed her skills in urban planning and zoning regulations, which have been invaluable in her subsequent endeavors.

Ms. Moore's educational background laid a strong foundation for her career achievements. She earned an associate degree from Indian Hills Community College in Centerville, Iowa, and a bachelor's degree in elementary education and teaching from Graceland University in Des Moines, Iowa, in 2003. Ms. Moore's academic pursuits equipped her with essential skills that have been pivotal in navigating the complexities of her work.

Beyond her professional responsibilities, Ms. Moore's civic engagement includes serving as the chair of the Iowa Association of Regional Councils since 2023 and as a member of the board of directors for the National Association of Development Organizations since 2024. She also contributes to her community through involvement with the Appanoose County Girls Softball League. Previously, Ms. Moore dedicated her free time to the board of a local animal rescue.
