ANCHORAGE, AK, July 24, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Amber Deem, an environmental specialist, was selected by Marquis Who's Who for a prominent feature in the August 2025 Alaska regional issue of Vogue magazine.

For more than 20 years, Ms. Deem has made a name for herself as a talented, reliable figure in the field of environmental engineering. Her career began as a consultant for Ecology and Environment Inc. in 2002. In 2005, Ms. Deem started a tenure of more than 10 years as environmental manager for Aircraft Service International Group, where she ensured the efficiency and safety of fuel equipment in the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. She later contributed as a project engineer for Geosyntec Consultants Inc., followed by several years as the vice president of Global Fuel LLC.

Most recently, Ms. Deem concluded a contract of several years as an environmental specialist for McKnight & Associates Inc. In this role, she helped keep communities in the Bering Strait safe and clean amid drilling and other environmental activities. In addition to her expertise in compliance and environmental safety, Ms. Deem has demonstrated a strong understanding of the complex fuel market and supply chain logistics. She is proud of excelling as a woman in a male-dominated field and her ability to adapt and take on new responsibilities throughout her professional life.

Ms. Deem has been a member of several organizations relevant to her field. Among them, she was part of the Alaska Chadux Network for over a decade. Ms. Deem is still associated with the American Society of Civil Engineers. She attributes her success to the self-worth instilled in her by her mother.

Beyond her primary vocation, Ms. Deem is a devoted mother to two sons. She enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and taking long walks with her dog, participating in cleanup projects and volunteering at food banks. Having finished her contract with McKnight & Associates in 2023, Ms. Deem is considering numerous opportunities for the next chapter of her career. She hopes to put her considerable experience to use in supporting more sustainable and environment-friendly energy options.

EDUCATION HIGHLIGHTS
Ms. Deem set a strong educational foundation before beginning her professional journey. She obtained a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1998. Subsequently, Ms. Deem earned a master's degree in environmental health engineering from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2002.
