Before embarking on her entrepreneurial journey with Visiting Aid, Ms. Perlmutter-Behrens accumulated nearly two decades of experience in various leadership roles within home care agencies. From 2000 to 2019, she held positions as director of human resources, chief compliance officer and administrator. Her most significant project during this period was at ABI Healthcare, where she played a crucial role in bringing the agency into compliance. Her expertise in compliance and human resources management was honed through years of dedicated service.

Ms. Perlmutter-Behrens began her career in the home care industry as a staffing coordinator from 1993 to 1996 before advancing to director of operations from 1996 to 2000. Her early experiences laid the foundation for her understanding of caregiver recruitment and agency building, which later fueled her passion for integrating technology into home care services.

Ms. Perlmutter-Behrens' academic background includes a bachelor's degree in human resources management and services from Liberty University in 2010 and an associate degree in medical office management and administration from Blake Business School in 1996. These educational achievements have been pivotal in shaping her career, providing her with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the complexities of human resources and compliance within the health care sector.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Ms. Perlmutter-Behrens is an active member of HCP NYS Association of Health Care Providers, reflecting her commitment to staying engaged with industry developments. Outside of her professional life, Ms. Perlmutter-Behrens enjoys spending time on her husband's boat, relaxing by the pool and caring for her granddaughter on weekends.
