From 1999 to 2004, Mr. Foiles excelled as a technical leader in product service for global technology at GE Energy, a subsidiary of General Electric Company. During his tenure, he successfully computed and directed over 100 gas turbine field balances.
Mr. Foiles's tenure at GE was preceded by his work as a research scientist and graduate research assistant at the University of Virginia. He also worked as a dynamic analysis engineer at Saudi Aramco from 1988 to 1996 and was a mechanical engineering services and a customer training engineer at Bently Nevada between 1983 and 1988.
Mr. Foiles pursued advanced studies, culminating in a Master of Engineering degree in mechanical engineering with a specialization in rotor dynamics from the University of Virginia in 1982. His education provided him with both the theoretical and practical foundation for his subsequent accomplishments.
Mr. Foiles is a member of The Vibration Institute. His work in both industry and academia, highlighted by numerous publications, showcases his unwavering dedication to innovation and excellence in the field, establishing him as a respected authority. His scholarly contributions include the co-authorship of "Practical Applications of Singular Value Decomposition in Rotordynamics," published in the Australian Journal of Mechanical Engineering.
